Skip Lehman said he's like a kid on Christmas morning-even in the middle of January-if he's in Oshkosh.

But EAA members should feel the same way, thanks to Lehman's work with EAA and its partners.

"Skip Lehman has been invaluable in his support and working with EAA partners whose relationships bring great value to the organization," Poberesny said. "Not only has he helped AirVenture, but he has been helpful on a year-round basis."

Lehman began working at Oshkosh in 1994, and put together the original Young Eagles sponsorship. He now represents many of the largest firms that have a presence at the fly-in convention.

During that time, manufacturers have improved their facilities on the AirVenture grounds, from non-air conditioned tents to indoor trade show displays with concrete flooring and underground electrical power.

"We were instrumental in bringing EAA into the 21st century," he said. "Other manufacturers are now doing the same things with more permanent displays and more beautiful displays."

But a partnership must work both ways, he said. "Ford Motor Company, for example, is truly a great EAA partner. They give EAA members special pricing on vehicles and sponsor the Fly-In Theater and opening day concert," Lehman said. Ford also donates a one-of-a-kind car to be auctioned off for Young Eagles. (This year it's called the AV-X10 Dearborn Doll, and it's based on the 2010 Ford Mustang GT.)

EAA embodies the spirit of aviation through the world's most engaged community of aviation enthusiasts. EAA's 160,000 members and 1,000 local chapters enjoy the fun and camaraderie of sharing their passion for flying, building and restoring recreational aircraft. Victor, NY – April 14, 2009 – iRacing.com is an online, subscription based racing simulation service that offers a variety of oval and road racing tracks as well as several different race car classes. iRacing.com caters to both real world drivers and racing simulation enthusiasts.

iRacing wanted to not only create more awareness for their exciting, new service, but also to provide quality, hands on exposure for the simulators which feature a degree of accuracy and authenticity that turns virtual practice into real-world results. Mach 2 Management had the answer. Mach 2 proposed and then designed a custom built 24 foot mobile trailer that would accomplish the “hands on” experience that iRacing was looking for. After a 6 week trailer build out, the Mobile Marketing tour was ready to hit the road.

“From the start, one of the company’s goals has been to expand the simracing community beyond its current boundaries,” said Scott McKee, iRacing’s vice president of marketing. “And we know that test drives are one of the best ways to do that. When enthusiasts have a chance to try iRacing and see for themselves how realistic our tracks and cars are – and how much fun it is to drive – they get it right away. Combine that with the competition side of our service, and subscribing, which they can do right there on the spot, becomes a very easy decision.”

The Mobile Marketing Tour Trailer offers four driving stations, including two F1RS3000 simulators produced by Wagner Race Products and two desk-mounted Logitech G25 wheel-and-pedal sets. McKee noted that “Using a variety of hardware solutions helps us to show people that you don’t need to buy a lot of fancy equipment to get started.” And, in addition to the four permanent stations, iRacing plans to feature other hardware partners at select tour stops.

With Mach 2 Management providing logistical support, the 2009 Mobile Marketing Tour will travel across the United States this season. The tour schedule includes a full complement of motorsports and auto enthusiast events, ranging from NASCAR Sprint Cup races, Grand-Am and IndyCar race meets to SCCA and other club events, short-track Modified shows, vintage racing events, Skip Barber race series weekends and karting events.

With a kick-off at the Sebring American Le Mans series event and then onto the NASCAR Sprint Cup race in Martinsville, the 2009 Mobile Marketing Tour is expected to make stops at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for a Skip Barber school and vintage racing weekend, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series event at Virginia International Raceway, and the Richmond Sprint Cup race. After that, a Northeast swing will include stops at Connecticut’s Stafford Motor Speedway and Lime Rock Park.

“We’re also planning to do an event at Fenway Park in conjunction with a Red Sox game.” McKee said. “We think that people who are engaged by competition, athletic performance and social aspects of sports are good candidates to become iRacers if they have a chance to try it out.
